The Material - Olive wood

Since ancient times, olive wood has been valued for its outstanding material characteristics and warm colouring. It is to be found throughout the Mediterranean region and has been used for centuries to make durable goods or artistic objects.

The wood we use must be dried carefully for months before the handles are turned. We then sand the surfaces, seal them with oil and polish them to a silky finish. This brings out the gentle, honey-coloured grain of the wood particularly well.

Without chrome the world would forfeit a lot of its lustre. In the finish used for our wet shaving accessories it demonstrates its best qualities: The material is corrosion-resistant, very long-lasting and has a luxurious, alluring lustre. When contrasted with this, the colours and shapes of other premium materials are shown to their very best advantage.

The Brushhead - Fine badger

Fine badger is softer than pure badger, but somewhat firmer than silvertip badger. The hairs are light grey in colour and feature the dark stripe or band typical of high badger hair qualities. This natural hair material is extremely well-suited to wet shavers who value the softness of badger hair and want to achieve a massage effect.

We process this quality mechanically according to the high standards which we apply to all MÜHLE products. If required, the crown of the brush head is slightly trimmed to obtain the perfect, typical shape of every single product.

The Razorhead - Gillette Fusion

The latest shaving system from Gillette embraces five blades positioned one above the other as well as a precision edging blade located on the back of the cartridge. Silvertip Badger

Silvertip badger hair represents the finest, softest and rarest quality of badger hair available. The hair is renowned for its ability to retain large amounts of water, enabling the brush to quickly produce a dense, stable and creamy lather.

Manufactured using historical tools, the semi-circular shape of the brush is created by hand when binding. The fine tips of the hair, therefore, do not require trimming and the natural softness of the hair is retained. This artisan procedure is mastered by only a few specialists worldwide, the quality of work evident in the even black band running through the predominantly silver brush head.

Open Comb Safety Razor

A premium product that produces a distinctly close and lasting shave.

Unlike modern blade systems, this safety razor foregoes plastic mechanisms. Growing concern in the effects of disposable plastic makes this set a great choice for the environmentally conscious, reducing both plastic waste and unwelcome environmental impacts, without compromising on precision.
