The Facial Hair Forecast: Trends for 2025
Whether you prefer a smooth, clean-shaven look or a touch of rugged stubble, 2025 is all about embracing simplicity while keeping things sharp.
But don’t just take our word for it! We spoke with our London Head Barber, Oran, who shared his predictions for the year ahead:
“2025 will be all about effortless grooming. I expect clean-shaven looks to make a strong comeback, offering a fresh appearance for those leaning into a minimalist style. For those who prefer some scruff, low-maintenance stubble will remain a go-to—think natural, well-kept shadow rather than anything overly sculpted. The focus will be on easy-going grooming that still feels intentional.”
So, without further ado, read on to learn how to create and maintain these styles—and see which famous faces have rocked the look!
Clean-Shaven
What is it?
A timeless and classic grooming choice, the clean-shaven look features a completely smooth face, free from any visible facial hair.
How do I create and maintain this look?
Achieving the perfect clean shave starts with proper preparation. Begin by washing your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser to soften the hair and open the pores. Apply a high-quality shaving cream—preferably with a shaving brush—and let it sit for a minute or two. Using a sharp, high-quality razor, shave in the direction of hair growth to minimize irritation and prevent ingrown hairs.
To maintain this look, shave daily or every other day, depending on how fast your hair grows. Follow up with a soothing aftershave or a hydrating moisturizer to keep your skin fresh and irritation-free.
For an ultra-close and comfortable shave, consider using a classic safety razor paired with a premium shaving cream like our Aloe Vera Shaving Cream, which hydrates and soothes the skin while reducing post-shave irritation.

Low Maintenance Stubble
What is it?
Shorter than a full beard but longer than a completely clean-shaven face, this stage of facial hair growth creates a rugged yet refined look with minimal effort.
How do I create and maintain this look?
Start by growing out your beard, then trim it evenly once you have enough length. Keep your neckline tidy and define the edges along your cheekbones for a polished appearance.
Apart from a good trimmer and a pair of trusty beard scissors, we’d also recommend the MÜHLE Stubble Balm to help maintain this look. An easy-going companion in your daily grooming ritual, the Balm absorbs quickly into the skin leaving the face hydrated and stubble soft - stubble itch begone!

The Beard-Stache
What is it?
Also known as the "beginner’s moustache," this style features heavy stubble with a thick moustache—striking the perfect balance between a beard and a full-grown moustache. It’s a great low-maintenance option for those who want a bold yet effortless look.
How do I create and maintain this look?
Grow out your beard, then gradually trim it down while leaving the upper lip area untouched. The more contrast between your moustache and the rest of your facial hair, the more defined your beard-stache will appear—don’t be afraid to experiment with different lengths!
Maintenance is relatively simple, but we recommend trimming your moustache every few days to maintain its shape. For taming stray hairs, MÜHLE beard scissors are a must-have for quick and easy upkeep.
