Just not up to hopes or expectations
"The birch handle has zero wood grain it has neither the look or feel of anything luxury, really feels like a piece of plastic. I am coming off an art of shaving metal handle I have had for 12 years before it finally gave it up. It had heft, it had character. I really wanted my new mule to be special but it’s just not. Maybe I chose poorly or got a bad piece of birch, the handle holds a blade but that’s all I can say about it"
