"I've had this set (bought the razor, then the synthetic fiber brush, and lastly, the stand. Absolutely love it. Some complain that the razor is a bit aggressive but even if you have a light beard and fair complexion like I do, if you shave deliberately, it's a non-issue. While I've used a wide variety of blades, I tend to favor Feathers. The birch bark and satin finish is just stunning and I love having the set on my bathroom vanity. I was very wary of the synthetic knot for the brush but wanted to try it as I already have a number of very good badger brushes and boar brushes. Over the years, while I've come to prefer boar, this synthetic knot is much nicer than I thought it would be and does a great job of lathering. It has a very similar feel to a good silvertip badger brush but without the drama of care."
