Close, safe shave

"I love the Muhle R41. When purchasing, make sure you don’t get the R89 - completely different razor and both are marketed as “The traditional”. The shave is very close, you can remove beard of several days in one pass, and if you don’t apply pressure the shave is very safe - no nicks or cuts. Imagine trying to scrape exactly at the surface of the skin. I added a 5 mm o-ring to the screw of the razor before adding the blade. This prevents the blade from bending when you screw on the handle, keeping it perpendicular to the handle. This makes the blade stick out more and also creates a massive gap. Now, THIS modified geometry is a pleasure to shave with. Try it."

Wonderfully Aggressive

"I have sensitive skin whereby I get razor burn easily, especially on my neck. I've found aggressive razors doing only one stroke or two to clear an area of hair, being efficient, leads to much less razor burn, usually none, then using a mild razor and having to do multiple strokes and multiple passes to clear the same amount of hair. Most people recommend mild razors for razor burn, I've experienced just the opposite. An aggressive razor like the R41 OPEN COMB clears the hair cleanly without being irritating. And because it's efficient, I don't have to do multiple strokes and put repeated irritation on the area."

Great razor

"This is a great DE razor. I was using a straight razor and had to get a DE for convenience (straights just take too long for workdays) and a friend recommended Muhle. The weight and length is good, and the embossed handle helps you grip it with wet hands. Would also recommend a blade sampler pack to see what works with your face."

MÜHLE TRADITIONAL Safety Razor, Chrome- Plated Metal

"I would say its worth a shot for beginner shavers new to safety razors, My father recommended this brand (He has a vintage one from the brand) anyway I just picked one of the 50$ options opposed to jumping to the 100+ ones, I like the look of the razor the feel of it etc, but for shaving it doesn’t give you that close shave I feel I want/ need. It does good enough for 50$ but Id like to try a newer one or a different option before settling down, Also I feel the 100 pack of disposable safety razors you can get from Walmart for 10$ did a better job. No hate just pure opinion I used them previously for months. For context Ive shaved with this one almost 6 times."

Unlike the cheap knockoffs advertised on the market *cough* manscaped *cough*, this razor gives me a close shave without causing worry with getting nicked when working on a tougher area of my face.
