"Glad I purchased this, best smooth and no irritation shaving so far, I have Murker 39C, EJ DE 89, Parker 98r, Parker 68s, Parker 65R, Parker 94R, Pearl Flexi, WestCoast, King C Gilette, Bombay Shavings. Among all these I like this R89 large/grande one, this is smoother than all and effective too, had to do 3 pass, had a ultra close without any razor blade feeling, I have R41 replacement head which works great too, I liked the Rocca JB one, R41/89 Large and Rocca JB have great balance, look premium and provide smooth and effective shaving, both are my new favorites"

Best shaver ever

"I love my MÜHLE safety razor. It provides a very close shave on my legs. I am a woman and when I was a young girl, I used to use my Dad’s safety razor, so I am familiar with how to use them. Though it did take a little practice since I’ve used double edge razors for years. I’m glad to return to this type of razor, for nostalgia, but mostly for the great shave. I don’t even have to use it every day, it’s that close."

Great Razor For Larger Hands and a Great Upgrade From Butterfly Razors!

"I started shaving with DE razors a few weeks ago. First razor was a Chieftain Butterfly Closed Comb. It was a little too aggressive for my skin and beard. So after reading quite a few online reviews and watching several YouTube reviews, I became convinced this is the razor for me. Was I glad I ordered this razor. It's a mild set to the blade and even using FEATHER brand or ASTRA brand blades I get a lot less nicks and cuts. Best shaving experience I've had in decades... after starting with a Schick Injector razor in the 60's and going through the various iterations of electric razors too, plus the cheapo plastic throw away blades. You won't regret buying this razor if you're an everyday shaver and require a MILD set to the blade. Truly a pleasurable experience! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

I have a fast growth

"I have a fast growth and shave every few days so the more aggressive R41 open comb is a better fit for me in general. Having said that this R89 is a smooth operator and if you have light growth or are an everyday shaver I don't see how u can go wrong with this one. I purchased the grand version because I prefer the longer handle to lace between my ring finger and pinkie when I shave. With the standard muhle blade I took 3 passes over my face to get smooth. One nick under my nose in the usual spot as I got adjusted the the angle and pressure required to drive this baby. A firmer pressure and a sharper blade might just be the ticket here. I'll try with a feather blade next to find that balance. Having said that, if I were an everyday shaver I'd be looking at this smoothie as my go-to. As it stands now I'll be using it as my clean up razor and use my more aggressive R41 as my workhorse. Give it a 4 because I don't give 5s unless the item can also predict the future."
