I see now

"I wondered why the Mühle traditional razors were simply "open" or "closed" comb, while most of us call them the R41 and R89. I got this head to replace the R41 head, which I find to be more like a straight razor with an odd handle. The R89 on the other hand is very mild, and the weight balance is very nice. I get now why these are their"classic" razors. As much as I appreciate the construction and balance of the R89 closed comb, I think I prefer the more aggressive Rocca. I have some lay-down hairs that it cuts better. The open and closed comb "traditional razors" are like the original book ends if the Mühle collection. At least that's what it feels like to me. I had expected then to be closer together, but they are not."

Traditional Closed & Open comb heads

"Great build quality & weight, blade edge is close to skin for good control & feel. Problem is the slots are too small to rinse easily or completely - especially with 4-6 day hair growth. Both heads would be perfect if the slots were bigger. Thanks for fast shipping on all my items."
