"This is my first safety razor and it has been delightful. Great build quality and performance."
"Beautiful razor with excellent materials and precision workmanship. This is the most aggressive closed comb razor I have used, and as such, is probably not the best choice for beginners. With a little patience and skill, it becomes easy to use and delivers an amazingly close shave. I have been using mine for most of a year now, and it is one of my favorite razors. The birch handle is holding up well - still looks like new."
"This razor and brush are aesthetically and visually beautiful and, as “pretty is as pretty does”, they are magnificent shaving tools. The weight is ideal for a big-handed man like me. I must say, while the brush works very well, I would have loved my favorite natural boar bristle brush knot instead of the synthetic knot with such a magnificent and beautiful brush, which would never be my personal preference. I would definitely recommend this set."
"I've come full circle in returning to the DE world. I initially bought the Mühle R94 after reading reviews of all the available advanced razors. I made my final choice because it, and the blades, are made in Germany—home of engineering precision—and reviewers agree this razor lives up to the praise. Using Mühle's blades, I find this combo precise, forgiving, yet extremely effective. Nice. Clean. Shave. No nicks, no cuts. And the best part is—I look forward to the morning ritual now. But I REALLY admired the Rocca R95 with that cool looking birch-bark handle. Did that look ever reach out to my Scandinavian heritage. But I wasn't sure about how the birch-bark was applied. After reading a couple of articles about how birch-bark handles on Finnish fishing knives are made, and how some of these handles have lasted for well over 100 years, the Rocca R95 handles should outlast their owners easily. How does the R95 shave? Exactly as a R94. Take it slow and deliberate, enjoy the trip, and any Rocca will deliver the goods."
"I've read a couple reviews here referring to the aggressiveness of this razor. It's maybe a shade on the aggressive side buy I have a pretty light beard and am fair complected. If you shave like I do, you're slow and deliberate. I've found this razor to work well from any blade I've ever used it with. And it's terrific looking with it's unique birch bark handle. I also have the brush (synth) and matching stand and while I own well over a dozen razors from vintage Gillettes to modern stainless, I love this Rocca the best."
"outstanding execution."
"I’ve since had to amend my glowing review based on one simple fact. By no fault of the manufacturer, the hybrid head is too aggressive for me. I would love to see Muhle offer the Rocca collection with optional (closed/hybrid/open) heads to give a truly custom shave experience. I love the look and feel of my Rocca birch bark, but my face simply can’t handle the head profile."
"Bought the whole Rocca Birch Bark set piece by piece and they are all the epitome of form meets function. The look and feel are all top tier. There is just nothing like the birch bark handle of this series. The warm and tactile feel of the handles is just spot on. That being said, caution should be taken as this razor has a wide gap and can catch you (literally) off guard if you haphazardly start going at it. Beautiful but some care needs to be taken with this."
"Execellent"
"Shave was not as expected. Feels like an Open Comb Razor."
Cool fascination in stainless steel.
