"I was nervous about this razor at first because it has a very aggressive reputation, but those that are considered mild take too many passes to get the job done. I've only completed 2 shaves with it and both were effortless. My beard is not thick or wiry, just very average. Rather than considering it aggressive I prefer to think of it as efficient. Choose a good blade and go slowly and carefully and you will be fine. It gave me a super smooth BBS shave."
"This razor is beautiful to look at, and its heft feels great in the hand. It needs to be used with concentration, a light touch and a steady hand. If you use it with these attributes, it will deliver a 2 pass very close shave, sometimes even with one pass. I enjoy the focused experience it provides."

"I have found a way to avoid all the nicks and cuts. I can use this razor every place on my face except where you would wear a goatee. These areas are flat enough where I don't get nicked. Then I can use my Merkur, a less aggressive razor, for the area around my mouth, under my nose, and chin. This razor is a bit aggressive for delicate, curvature areas. Otherwise, it gives me a great smooth shave."
"My favorite and most used razor is the Muhle R41. After using the GS version, I can say that it performs even better for me. I like the bigger handle and heavier weight of the GS. The weight of the razor will do all the work; all you have to do is guide it for perfect results. This razor in hand feels like a serious piece of equipment and gives perfect shaves with no irritation. My skills are dialed in with the R41 and now that I have the GS, I don't think I'll ever need another razor. This is the pinnacle - the top tier of razors and in my opinion, well worth the money."
