- I purchased a Muhle plumwood safety razor. It looks very impressive but it does not shave. I use other safety razors and have had success with them but with this one the blade is not touching my face. It does not appear to stick our far enough to shave. Is it possible I received a defective razor with the top portion being too large? I assume the blades are standard safety blades as used in my other razors. I appreciate your assistance
